The most common use case of the Open Charging Network describes an eMobility Service Provider (MSP) or Charge Point Operator (CPO) connecting their backoffice service to an OCN-Node. Note that not only MSPs and CPOs can use the Open Charging Network, but those are some of the most common roles.

Follow these steps in order to successfully connect your own backoffice service:

  1. Make your backend service OCN-ready (OCPI 2.2 API + OCN Signature)

  2. Obtain registration token and enter details in OCN-Registry

  3. OCN Node registration

  4. Manage your White-& Blacklist

  5. Send/receive OCPI messages
