Connecting a Service /old

The first use case describes an eMobility Service Provider (MSP) or Charge Point Operator (CPO) connecting their backoffice service to the Open Charging Network, specifically the public test environment. Note that not only MSPs and CPOs can use the network, but those are some of the most common roles.

In this tutorial, we will connect an MSP backoffice to a remote node on the public test environment. To see how to run your own node, visit the [Running your own node page - coming soon].

Time needed (rough estimate): ~1 hour

Steps:

  1. Obtain registration token

  2. Enter details in Registry

  3. OCN Node registration

  4. Send OCPI messages
